The west does nothing to lower its consumption but feels entitled to lecture other countries. How colonial.

Good on you Mr President. The British comes to lecture Guyana after they have stolen all of its resources. It's time to stand up and speak up to all colonisers.

Lecture a country on climate change while supporting a genocide. Hypocrisy at its finest

BBC should ask UK and Norway what have they been doing in the North Sea for the last 5 decades.

That journalist is so annoying every single time! Utterly tone deaf and a relic of the British imperial times clinging to relevance 🤦🏻‍♀️

Great point: "You're not paying us to keep the forests alive, you're paying us for the oil, and you have the audacity to lecture us on that?"

One of the best answers I have seen in my life. The people of Guyana should feel proud, of having such a President.

That’s not a journalist nor a reporter. He is an activist and he totally failed.

It is so vastly unfair for developed nations to criticize developing nations for producing oil when they massively benefits financially from more than 100 years of oil exploitation before we take climate change seriously. In terms of forest area percentage, UK and US are much much lower than countries such as Guyana and Suriname. Instead of criticizing Guyana, these westerns countries should focus more on reforestation like what China is doing.

A country that has already made its wealth through years and years of polluting industrialization and colonialist extraction of resources, lecturing its former colony about the importance of NOT industrializing and not extracting its own wealth.

The reporter is such a fool. He tries to interrupt a president like he has the right or a moral high ground to stand on..
