fun puzzle. I always have this issue where I will see both pieces of the solution (rook check on the king, rook attacking the queen), but not putting it together.

nice puzzle. I saw R e8 + as an obvious first move since it's a forcing move but then I couldn't figure out how to capitalise on it.

I saw the idea of Re8+ followed by Re3 after a while and realized that these must be the first moves, but then I got stuck. I gave up on solving it and started the video, but just as I heard "it's kind of complicated" it struck me! I paused again and quickly found the sequence.

I then went on to try my luck against Stockfish two times, but unfortunately I drew both. So frustrating since I always seems so close to winning and I usually find most of the winning moves in such positions, but that is very often not enough - just one small slip and it's a draw or loss. You can afford to make very minor inaccuraces in winning endgames like this one, but as soon as you make a significant error against the modern super engines, it's just hopeless. They're simply too strong.
