Thiazides mechanism of action

Thiazides are moderately efficacious diuretics. Their mechanism of action is inhibition of Na-Cl symporter in DCT. This symporter normally plays role in absorbing Na and Cl. Its inhibition results in decreased absorption of Na and Cl. This leads to decrease in body Na and Cl. As Na and Cl are highest contributor of osmolarity, reduces Na and Cl leads to decrease in blood volume by excretion of water.

why hypokalemia happens when we give thiazides as you said in this vedio it going to block Na, cl channel then there will be no Na, K exchange so potassium going stay in blood vessels itself how come there will be may be i am wrong but clear my doubt sir
