The C6 is subtle. The C7 and C8 are gaudy. The C6 will age better than any corvette that came before or after it.

If I were to buy a Grand Sport, it would be the 2010-13 coupe with manual transmission. The manual adapts to mods a lot better. GM made that motor to be bullet proof and many people don't know it, but the engine was hand made for the manual like they did for the ZR1. There's performance additions to the manual that they didn't add to the automatic. And, the Grand Sport has performance attributes identical to the Z06.

Thanks for the video. At 73, I purchased an 07 c6 6.0. I wanted a vette since I was 13. This car has 73000 miles, garage kept and covered, serviced only by dealership. It's atomic orange, it came with 2 tops, new brakes, new michelin tires, a new harmonic balancer and shift cable. The paint looks showroom. Tkx again.

2010 C6 vette owner here! Bought the car a couple months ago and I love it. Came with a super charge and a Corsa exhaust. The car had 16547 miles when I bought it.

I have a 2012 GS Centennial with a manual. Centennial cars came with Selective Ride as part of the package. That and replacing the run flats with Michelin Sport 4S tires creates a perfect suspension for a daily driver, always just firm enough for conditions but never uncomfortable. Rather than pulling the fuse on the variable exhaust, there’s an aftermarket remote control that lets you toggle back and forth on the fly for around $50. ‘12 and ‘13 got nicer looking seats, and two extra tweeters in the dash with the optional Bose audio system. But I can’t recommend Selective Ride enough.

The GS is also the only wide body C6 with the removable targa roof, and the optional transparent roof panel.

If you’re in the market for an under $40k Sport Coupe you owe it to yourself to put a C6 GS on your short list.

Owned one. Low end torque of the LS3 was excellent. C6 design is the best.

I love my 2011 GS and daily drive mine 365 days a year (I live in CA) I have the manual which means it come with a few extras such as a hand-built engine, dry sump oiling system and forged crank. If you plan to daily drive keep in mind how low these cars are, they will have you looking out for speed bumps and steep driveway entrances. There are some other inconveniences, you get with the manual transmission such as the dry sump oiling system. I don't mean the fact that its dry sump just that I have to change my own oil since in my area most oil change technicians give me a blank stare when I ask if they are familiar with dry sump oiling system? Speaking of changing my own oil this car take 10.5 quarts of full synthetic oil so its not an inexpensive oil change. Then again this shouldn't bother you considering your driving a high performance after all. Daily driving means you are also replacing expensive tires every 2-3 years and getting in and out the driver's seat everyday lets me know if I am putting on to much weight. Overall its a great experience and love going through the gears and hearing that LS3 scream. I highly recommend the Grandsport if you are considering a Corvette and especially if you plan to daily drive it.

Let’s not forget that a GS with a stick has a hand built ls3 and is also dry sump. Much better then an auto car.

I bought my 2012 GS Coupe w/ manual in July 2021. I was planning on buying a C6 Z06, but then I learned of the class action/valve drop issue. Then I discovered the many favorable aspects of the LS3, so I pulled the trigger...

IMO you have to get a C6 GS with the manual transmission. The clutch is light not heavy and the throws are decent. The ride is relatively soft and it’s a comfortable car. Just be careful because she is very low to the ground!
