Why is this cube impossible to lift?!?

We brought one of our 4-inch tungsten cubes over to Center of the Universe Brewing in Ashland, Virginia to see if anyone was strong enough to pick it up.

The rules were:
1. You must lift with one hand from the top
2. All 4 corners of the cube must be above the surface at once
3. If you were successful, we bought you a beer.

It's just the combination of the weight, size and shape. This cube is actually a bit similar to some grip strength challenges/lifting equipment, like the Inch dumbell blob or lifting an anvil by the horn.
The fun thing is that the cube is a lot heavier than most people expect.

By the looks of it it looks at least a 4” cube of tungsten which weighs just 41.62 lbs or 18.88 kg(yes I looked it up bc I knew it was heavy and personally wanted to know)
