This guy literally learned the cube for this video, and not only learned, but he actually got better at it. That is dedication, he is a champ.

3 years later and now official sub 3 solves are becoming more and more likely, it's insane how far the hardware and the hobby has come in such a short time.

This is what I like with wired. They actually have a proper look into how cubing works, and doesn't just look at the first result on Google like mainstream media. Great vid ☺️

**human solves Rubik's cube in less than 4 seconds**

I used this video to learn to solve the 3X3. It took roughly 2 months. I can now solve in 40-50 seconds. The strange thing is that I no longer remember the algorithms, as it has turned into muscle memory. Great video!

No one starts with the idea of breaking a world record. You just start making progress little by little and until you realize it you have actually become fast.

This was the first video that got me into cubing. I now average sub 17 seconds with CFOP, and owe my thanks to WIRED

This is one of the very few GOOD cubing videos for non-cubers.

It's always so refreshing to see a non-cuber make a good, informed video about the cubing community. Great video.

I just got into cubing a few weeks back, but this piece seems incredibly well researched and done. Kudos to the reporter!
