Imagine if 343 had listened to Joe Staten and focused on MP and campaign DLC, rather than scrapping the campaign and going all-in on MP.

343 has been in charge of Halo for longer than Bungie has. So far the only things they've been able to do with any consistency are disappoint and divide the fan base.

Cancelled projects, especially after they have received a lot of work, is always sad. What we really want as Halo fans is more sandbox and more lore.

Edit: (I know you all are saying 10 years but when infinite launched it felt GOOD and Halo gunplay never felt better. A shame it then wasn't exploited to what it should have achieved)

I don't know about you guys, I don't care much about the Halo battle royale anyway. I'm kinda glad it's cancelled. Halo doesn't need to follow some trend. What I'm upset is the many resources that was put into the Battle Royale instead of the main games of Halo

8:00 It is most certainly not the engine's fault. It's the blatant and intentional mismanagement from Microsoft and the former heads of the company. Because who could possibly guess that firing the entire staff that overhauled the engine in the first place was an extremely stupid idea. "b--but, BIDGIS, they were conract workers! They're contracts expired." Yeah, and that's the ducking problem, isn't it? Why are your essential employees only temporarily employed at your company? Why didn't you re-up their contract if you simply *must* have contracts?

Edit: I feel I should expand this to say; it is not the hammer's fault that management came in to the shop, told someone to break it, fired them for taking to long, and then tell the replacement to put up a new wall with it.

I'm not a huge fan of battle royale style games, but I am disappointed that yet another Halo project has seemingly been scrapped because of poor corporate management. I just want the series to thrive again.

I’m torn on this being good or bad news. On one hand, this is really disappointing having all that time wasted with nothing to show for it. However, the battle royale craze feels like it’s slowed down considerably and I can’t say it would’ve been a successful mode/game.
