Mr. Jaishankar this issue doesn't fall under Foreign Affairs it's a question of foreign trade policy. Don't speak on things that are not your ministry's concern. The question is do you wish India to pay commission to the US correspondent banks for every transaction you do enriching them for doing nothing. Do you wish your country's currency to find value pegged to the US dollar ie., Rs. 84 when the Purchasing Power Parity shows ₹ to be somewhere at 26. Do want to continue to enrich the US at our cost. Remember De Gaulle said exhorbitant privilege. Do you want the US to continue to print money and buy your goods dirt cheap and then sell you their bonds and if they don't like you they may freeze your $ reserves. Why keep your reserves in $ when you can keep them in gold. Why the ₹ and other currencies should not be pegged to gold instead of $. Do you want to continue US hegemony.
