This is the song I’m playing for my concert for my band ❤❤

When I played this song for band I was a part 4 because I played alto sax and alto saxes were part 4. But I played trumpet as a secondary in jazz band. This song was for competition and 2 days before competition my band director came to me and asked me “ how good are you at sight-reading?” I said I was ok at it and then he said, “ well it should be good” then proceeded to hand me a part 3 piece because we only have 3 trumpets and 1 of them was out for strep. So I proceeded to learn a part that I had never played before that day and then had to solo on it for almost 10 measures. THEN the trumpets or what trumpets we had didn’t come in and were late so they didn’t play. I had to play over EVERYONE in my band so I could be heard. But we got gold and all was well
