A great board. High in price, but there is massive arranging power in this board that was not covered in this test. It actually has voice leading architecture similar VSL Instruments Pro for splits on synth, string, and other acoustic ensemble sounds. I believe it has a full Motif engine inside, plus additional samples and features. The lines are blurring between workstations and arrangers. Many of the pre-fab arranger styles will not be of use to composers, but for some they might help ignite ideas. And this thing has full notation view on the screen and audio and midi export. The person that seems to think the Yamaha Mox sounds better needs to have their head examined. No, not close. Tyros can hold its own with the best workstations out there. It has a full blown Motif engine.

Thank you, nice and useful video. I ve changed contact strips on SQ-16, psr 8000, 9000, repaired display on Tyros-1 but still no repairs on T-5.nonononono !!!

A big flaw in tyros 5:
I have been watching many videos of tyros 5 and found out a very big flaw which yamaha company has to take serious

when ever you change from one voice(sound) to another voice(sound) the sound you're changing stops and then plays again whereas you've changed to the other sound.

carefully watch the video from 1:58, the sound is changed
1:59 new sound selected
BUT the previous sound can be heard
while changing 1:58 the first sound stops and then again plays however this immediate pause shouldn't be there.

carefully see the video from 1:58 to 2:00.

you'll notice it in the later parts of the video as well.

It surprises at how many of these basic sounds such as pianos, e pianos, pads and drums either share the same samples as Halion Sonic
or sound similar. But of course there are many sounds exclusive to Tyros 4 and Tyros 5 such as the scatt and gospel choir voices. I did
consider buying a Tyros 4 or 5 but in the end I decided there was no sense in me buying an arranger keyboard as I don't use auto accompaniments.

Sad that you get DSP cutoff while switching sounds.   Wonder if they use software emulation for effects these days-- not sure why we're still having issues with effects cutoff on high end keyboards.

I find the following  a NO GO!
When you press on a knob for a new sound (instrument), you stil here the old sound (instrument) for a split of a second!
For a keyboard with this high prise.????
 Sorry for the bad English, you can always  try Dutch if you want.
