Just about all commercial real estate investors aim to take a property and add value to it in some way in order to increase the overall cash flow or valuation. Most will take existing sites with either deferred maintenance, high vacancy, or a combination of both - but some investors will actually take raw land and reimagine what could be on that site.

Awesome Tyler! To your point finding those you want to be like is so true and start surrendering yourself with which we want to be. I’ve been doing just that and have met so many individuals who gave me good advice and even a developer who told me his looking for an assistant, project manager or analyst. So what am I going to do? I’m going to tell him I can do either one to learn to gain a relationship and trust. I’ve been reading building my knowledge and following Tyler’s method and it works. Don’t be afraid to call people and ask for what you want. I’m still not sure where I will land be the skills I learn will help me narrow that gap as I go. Things shift and change but my core goal is the same, to be an investor who can buy, sell or develop Real Estate. You day man Tyler!

I have a problem with getting leads on underdeveloped land. I get land mostly through word of mouth since the size of the company didn’t need much leads, but now since the companies growing bigger I’m grappling with how to be more proactive in building the relationships needed to acquire land.
