Short Synopsis

A place transforming to a Non-Place. This film researches social and visual changes affection 'Pirimze', a six floor edifice from the Soviet era, built especially to house repair and maintenance services. The theme unfolds to a broader picture and shows what has been happening in Georgia since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Starting as a curious journey through the labyrinths of 'Pirimze' and observing fascinating skills performed by craftsmen who used to work there, the story moves beyond the facade of the newly renovated business center 'Pirimze Plaza' which replaced 'Pirimze' and questions the need and motives of this transformation.

„პირიმზე“ − ადგილი, რომელიც არაფრად გარდაიქმნება. ფილმი „პირიმზის“ გარშემო მომხდარ სოციალურსა და ვიზუალურ ცვლილებებს ეხება. „პირიმზე“ საბჭოთა დროის 6-სართულიანი შენობაა, რომელიც თავდაპირველად საყოფაცხოვრებო ტექნიკისა და სხვადასხვა ნივთის ხელოსნებს დაეთმო. ფილმი მაყურებელს წარსულში, საბჭოთა დროინდელ საქართველოში აბრუნებს. ფილმს მაყურებელი „პირიმზის“ ლაბირინთებში მიჰყავს და აკვირდება ხელოსნების ოსტატობას. ამბავი ახლადგარემონტებული შენობის „პირიმზე პლაზას“ კედლებს მიღმაც ვითარდება, ამ შენობამ ძველი „პირიმზე“ ჩაანაცვლა და მრავალ კითხვას დაუდო სათავე „პირიმზის“ ტრანსფორმაციის მოტივებსა და საჭიროების შესახებ.
