Good day and welcome to Mzansi in Two Minutes, in today's video we look into 702 host Bongani Bingwa’s recent social media post where he seemingly comes out of the closet, but really doesn’t.

We chat about if this hurts the plight of Africa’s LDBTIQ across Africa with the recent events in Uganda, that a prominent celebrity in a country that protects LGBTIQ rights can play so coy.

A prominent South African media personality comes out of the closet. Gooo day and welcome to Mzansi in two minutes. In today's video, we look at 02 media personality Baongani Bingwa declaring that he bats for the other side.

He posted on his social media, “Chest pains for anyone who thinks I'm in the closet. My clothes live there. Not I. 🏳️‍🌈#Pride” Like really anybody who didn’t see that Bongani was a homosexua,l is in the same WhatsApp group with Hele Keller, prayers for his supposed ex-wife. Here are some of the responses to his post. “We don't care about you, you're a least of our worries.” and Bongani replied "Yet here you are.” another user said, “Few important questions:
1. When did you find out you were gay
2. Did you ever get married to a female? If yes, was it a marriage of convenience?
3. Was she aware that you were gay? If no, don’t you think is unfair to the lady?

I understand it’s your life.”

Another said, “We’re not in interested on your bedroom politics” Bingwa replied, “You should see me... but my politics will really hurt in boardrooms. That's where you should worry.”
A shocked user said, “Hawu kanti vele !” Bongani replied,”Kakhulu, kakhulu, kudala ngavela.”
A conceened South African said “You are brave, I wish I can have a conversation with you about how they treat you in rural areas ?” Bongz replied “Ha monate joang?” an annoyed South African asked “Why do you have to make an announcement?” but Bogz replied “Panado. Myprodol. Either. Take one.” But my favorite is the user that asked him this. “So singhena phi thina either closet or kitchen or garage or pavement how is it our business 🤔 😅 Bandla really 🤔 😳 😅 😐 wa bora akere Lena ba di alphabet le byalo la lapisa maan le utlwa Rena re reng eya ko Uganda 🇺🇬 🤣 Oba Botse re bone 🤣”

That my big problem with Bongani Bingwa, who now apparently represents a persecuted minority in Africa, instead of using his platform to affirm their right to exist he goes after South Africans who have accepted gay rights a long time when they want to be prioritized in their own country, throwing words like xenophobia with reckless abandon. The same with the late Eubaisius.In fact the Zimbabweans he loves to protect so much at the expense of his own compatriots dont have a problem with the Up to 14 years he’d receive there just for being himself.

The bottom line is that no South African cared if Bingwa is gay or not. There was bo Amstel and then bo Somilizi who paved the way for Black South African homosexuals to be comfortable in SA, which is why his replies are even more condescending to South Africans.
