Riding 'The Death Train' to America's border

When president Trump introduced tough new policies to stop migrants crossing the US border - the result was immediate and widespread.

Thousands of children have been separated from their parents, hundreds of families with no idea when they would see each other again.

Our Latin America correspondent Guillermo Galdos has been following two who, with tens of thousands of others, are so desperate to flee the danger and destruction in their homelands, they risk everything in the attempt to make it to the United States.

The brave man jumped off the moving train to help the little child and the pregnant mother was unbelievable.
He could have missed the train.

He said something like, “We’re not animals. We are all human, just from different countries” …as a Black woman, I felt that: we’re all human wanting the same things having the same basic goals…just have different skintones, different countries of origin, still human.

My parents both crossed by train from mexico into the US when they were 18 &19 with only $20 bucks and one pair of clothing im very grateful that they did this so we could have a better future

I hate seeing things like this because I can relate with my oldest daughter's mom that was deported years ago. She lived here in the states for over 15+ years and never even got a ticket. 😔

If I were in these peoples shoes I would risk anything to protect my kids, my family too. It's easy to judge when we have never been through what these folks have to go through just for freedom!

My heart sank when her kid was on the train and she was not. Everytime I'm thinking I'm having a bad day I will think of these people...So sad.
