Robot Wars - Series 7 Top 15 Battles (2004)

With the Series 7 uploads complete, I thought I'd compile a list of some of the best battles from the final series of the show's original run. Note, that, of course, some of the list differs from my Top 25 for reasons such as changes in opinion since, as well as me putting extra emphasis on a drawn out battle as apposed to explosive moments, so the likes of Iron-Awe 2.1 vs Bigger Brother are naturally that bit lower than in the original Top 25 list.

Anyhow, with Series 4's uploads being completed over the weekend, feel free to suggest battles in the comments below that you'd like to be included in the Series 4 version of this list.

Watching Typhoon 2 VS. Storm 2 back, I still have NO CLUE how on earth Typhoon 2 won that. Such manufactured, Mentorn bullshit. Storm 2 were on top of that fight the whole time. They were unstoppable and deserved that win so much.

Oh, how that Grand Final was mired in controversy. Not as much as the Season 6 Grand Final, but still a fair amount. Numerous accusations of judges results being fixed by the controller of Channel 5 are not something to be taken lightly

Say what you will about the Grand Final fight (and very entertaining it was), but I think Storm 2 should've taken that decision. I think they were more consistently aggressive than Typhoon and managed to get more lifts in from the looks of things compared to how many times Typhoon managed to actually hit Storm 2 with their full-body spinner. The damage that appeared at the end, given that Typhoon wasn't spinning when that panel came off of Storm 2, I think was self-inflicted rather than caused by Typhoon

Can' argue with No.1. It is one of the most dramatic fights in RW.

Number 1 was great, but Bulldog Breed vs TAN was the best for me

Surprised not to see Panic Attack vs. Tough as Nails included, although this compilation has reminded me what an entertaining robot Tough as Nails were, you could make an argument for any of their battles being among the best. Glad you didn’t just go for the battles where the most damage was done and more for the real tests of driver skill, which are always the more entertaining battles for me. M2 vs Tiberius might be my favourite, such an exciting comeback and you can see every move M2 was making to turn the tables on their opponent.

The producers were literally pissing all over Storm 2 the entire series and it still gained 2nd place. Should’ve won. The team was robbed.

I do love watching your lists, even if it's only for the Extended S5 Grand Final theme over the introductions. probably shouldn't have been surprised by Number 1, but I have to say, not sure I agree with all of them. That is of course the joy of everyone's opinions, but I would have put TAN/Bulldog Breed much, much higher up. Maybe next to TAN/Robochicken for the full effect of the 'revenge' for its' Tag Team partner. Only one I vehemently disagreed with was putting M2/Tiberius so high. It was great for the latter half, but the first part was like watching the very worst of all of Razer's fights condensed into one. I think my favourite out of these was M2/Atomic personally, but all were pretty good fights. Whatever issues were behind the scenes during S7, it had some cracking fights.
