I have a 2018 ipad pro and a pixel tablet. iPad is better but it usually is in room or suitcase. Pixel tablet is always in the kitchen so i end up using it more since it's readily available and charged.

Well...I've been using the pixel tablet as a productivity device and it's been working well for me. Haven't used my laptop since it came out. I can only speak for me though.

I don't know who Carter is, however, I agree with you in that I don't think this is meant to be a "productivity machine".

IMO it's positioned (and priced) to be more in-line with the base model iPad & between the two, since this can act as a Home Hub, I'd pick it any day.

i actually switched from ipad pro to pixel tab and the biggest difference that i noticed is the camera! it's so much better and pics are always more crisp and because of android i can do much more thinks and very less restrictions!

The 2nd way is the way for me. I have about 3 Google Smart displays.. But in my room I use a mid range tablet as a smart display running cast receiver all the time. Being able to pick up my tablet in the room and use it on its own is what i imagine the Pixel tablet is like

I bought the Pixel tablet day one love it, use it everyday. I haven't set up next to my couch so when I start playing a game and I want to listen or watch something Bam it's right there. Heck I even casted to it from my phone because it's just faster than loading it up on the tablet.

I love my google home. Sure it spends alot of it's time just sitting there... but when I need it, ITS THERE... I can check the camera, and I use the voice commands to controll things in my house WAYYYY more then I thought I ever would.... I want to get this one! I would use it way more

Actually, I do bring my pixel tablet to the coffee shop. Depends what you actually use it for productivity wise. I use it for some minor photo editing, stock trading and blogging and an occasional ebook. I also use it to manage my social media accounts. Nothing hardcore but just enough. This is an item where I think everybody will have different opinions. It doesn't exactly fit into a nice little box.

I think the only thing that would have confused people less, is if instead of calling it a pixel tablet, they called it a nest tablet.

It’s nice but should not have replaced the nest hub at double the price. A lot of people just want a smart display and don’t want to pay extra for it to be used as a tablet they will never need.

Last time I've seen a video or short on the Pixel Tablet, someone installed Graphene OS on it. Nice to know I can switch the OS on it. 😎👍

My owning an iPod Pro 11 from 2020 and still don’t do much Productive on it. Probably the most demanding thing I do on it recently is Playing Starrail 😅
