Donald Trump rips into Democrats for refusing to celebrate ‘incredible wins’ for US

US President Donald Trump says there is “absolutely nothing” he can say to make Democrats sitting in Congress happy.

US President Donald Trump is addressing Congress for the first time since taking the White House to push his hard-line stance on mass deportations of illegal migrants, with the families of violent crime victims in attendance.

“I could find a cure to the most devastating disease ... or announce the answers to the greatest economy in history or the stoppage of crime to the lowest levels ever recorded,” Mr Trump said.

“And these people sitting right here will not clap, will not stand and certainly will not cheer for these astronomical achievements; they won’t do it, no matter what.

“Democrats sitting before me, for just this one night, why not join us in celebrating so many incredible wins for America?”
