I used to see these all over NYC in the early 2000’s…and thought they were pretty ugly bags. The funny thing is that their namesake Jane Birkin is really a bohemian hippie at heart and would never want an exclusive bag that you have to be waitlisted and judged in order to obtain. I guarantee you, if most Birkin owners saw this bag in a radon store or out in the wild with no context, they wouldn’t want one. It’s all just clout!
