Birth of the CIA - Allen Dulles - Forgotten History

When people fly into Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC, very few know why it has that name let alone know anything about the man behind it. During WW II Brigadier General William J. “Wild Bill” Donovan ran the Office of Strategic Services ran secret operations all over the world, from Asia to Europe hiring and recruiting civilians and active duty military as covert operatives. The experiences of the OSS saw the need to create a specialized organization that could handle intelligence gathering and covert operations with plausible deniability. The successor of the OSS, the Central Intelligence Agency continued that legacy with very mixed and controversial results. Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. His brother was Secretary of State. These cowards were committing war crimes as a tag team. That's why the agency had to be disbanded and came back as the CIA. The damage those two brothers committed is still being felt today.

I once had a conversation with a self described "JFK assassination expert" . When I asked him about what he thought Allan Dulles's part in the killing was he said" who's Allan Dulles ? " I nearly spit my coffee on him with laughter. 😅

My grandfather was close friends with Allen Dulles as he was a Naval Captain that worked in the Pentagon & after ww2 had worked for a period in Naval overseas clandestine intel operations. They had a close working relationship. Because of the friendship my father expressed to him that he was considering applying for the CIA.

My grandfather got real pissed & chewed his ass out. Asked him if he had signed anything yet. When told no my grandfather told him in no uncertain terms was he to apply or to speak to Mr Dulles about it. He said what they do is not the comic book super secret agent nonsense he thinks it is. Rather it is very dark things outside of the law & that the CIA wouldn't think twice about using him & leaving him out to dry.

My father chose a different path.

Can you imagine a world in which the CIA either did not exist or had greater oversight?
