Bro i’m so sick of people being like “omg this would never work irl.” Okay? A football tackle isn’t exactly practical either but football players do it because it’s practical for their sport. BJJ is a sport. Judo is a sport. Wrestling is a sport. They do shit that works based on the rules of their sport. When tf were sports supposed to be self defense programs?

As someone with low level wrestling and karate exercises and plenty of street fights. This guy would 100% be able to smoke any "street fighter" just as fast. Jumping or pulling guard on someone with little to no experience is absolutely a valid tactic. In 1v1, obviously with multiple people you want to keep space and run. 2v1 is not a good idea no matter your experience.

No comment on lack of control, damaging opponent's arm?

Guy hit that armbar really hard without giving his opponent time to tap. That's pretty bad sportsmanship, especially when you consider how much he outclassed him. He's good but he's a bully.

I feel like if you can jump into guard, you should be able to slam as well

That was a good guard pull, he wasn't lazy or just using it as a way to skip the takedown game, he used it as a takedown

Yeah.. why don’t we talk about how his arm got jacked up.. The guy doing the arm bar should be disqualified for that. I expect better control

His handshake showed his dominance. Opponent should take it into consideration.

Me, as an experienced BJJ practiser can assure you this is a great move but could be prevented if that guy in the black was a little more cautious
