100% agreeable, I am a retired private golf club pro and take pride in my lawn, just like a golf course and at times it so frustrating because its a constant battle! I have followed you since day one and follow your prescriptions by the letter. I live in Michigan and for some reason the humidity this year has been high, with lots of rain! I guess you can say its like a round of golf, today it was good, yesterday it wasn't and who knows what it will be like the next time!!! Thanks for posting and helping us all!!

An absolutely EXCELLENT teaching video on getting folks (like me) to calm down, take deep breaths and have a decaf coffee when these situations shown crop up. Your a good teacher and you should get a YouTube Emmy Award for this video.

I'm in North Central Florida with a St. Augustine lawn and we are predicted to get 9" of rain over 2 days. I told my wife I considered getting tarps to cover the lawn and her eyes rolled into the back of her head. 🤣

Gonna sleep like a baby knowing my FL lawn isn’t the only one struggling this year. 😅

That is what I like about your channel. You show everything and not just all the feel good lawns stuff. Keep up the great videos.

I was in Orlando when the storm was hitting. Beautiful weather. We love going to Florida. Beautiful state.

The rainy season is a blessing and curse at the same time. It’s never a perfect amount of rain.

Only thing ive found to get rid of grey leaf is clearys 3336F at max strength. Azoxy does an okay job. For weeds, bermuda, and fungus i just try to bag clippings in hopes to not spread these things as fast.

Glad to see that I am not the only one with weeds in my pavers! And fungus in my St. Augustine.

I have two small sections of St Augustine left in my backyard. It does great late winter and spring, but once June hits it starts thinning out and looks terrible. After summer, it takes all winter to recover. I now have mostly Empire in the back and every year let it take over more. In front, I just turned off the water, cut it short, pumped it full of Nitrogen and let the Common Bermuda take over. St Augustine just takes too much input, plus it's terrible if you have pets.

Its been like that here in the gulf in Texas. My grass is actually thriving. Last summer we got almost no rain. My lawn is rain drunk this year

My lawn guy calls St. Augustine, Honey Badger grass. It endures.

Allyn, one area where I really struggle is a area with limited sun due to my home, and trees. Every summer brown patch comes in and destroys about 50% of the St Aug summer growth I need to get through the winter. It’s been a struggle to keep this area from going into decline due to lack of sunlight in winter. Citrablue plugs are helping, more shade tolerant I think. This year I’ve decided to try and keep it healthy by keeping some fungicide applied every 4 weeks. Maybe, the fungicide is working, but the big change I’ve made is no irrigation at night. Im on East Coast of FL, central, and we are way down in rain, so that’s helping to. I would definitely recommend to your viewers to avoid irrigation at night. Keep up the great videos, I always enjoy them and learn.

Thank you for showing that imperfections are normal and pretty much unavoidable.

I finally came to same conclusion this there are things you can't control and it's ok. It's the cycle of life. Everyone looks at my lawn and thinks it I see the bad stuff but they don't. Amd when I have a mild issue in a single part of my lawn. A month goes by and it's beautiful again. It just cycled at a different time due to different shade etc.
