There is a house shaped like a c- from a famous japanese architect. It’s purpose build for his sister and her children after her husband died. The shape allows for a garden in the middle and so much intricacy without limiting the personal space everyone has.

-Edit: Just looked it up. It’s not a C but close. It’s the U-House planned by Toyo Ito. Sadly it’s already been demolished, but stuard Hicks has a great video about it.

Makes a ton more sense when you design the interior walls to match the outer curved walls. No wonder it looked so uncomfy before, they decided to put straight angular walled rooms in a curved structure.

I had very wealthy relatives that lived in a house that we swear had no corners. Everything was round and the hallway wrapped around like a C. It had great energy flow. Not being able to see the end of the hallway or the doors coming around the bend really made each room feel like its own zone. I loved it.
