The division of a number is simply dividing a number into predetermined groups.
For example, 8 divided by 2 results in four groups of 2.
Arrays are helpful when dividing because they help you visualize division.
Using math manipulatives like arrays help by allowing you to visualize the math.

This is incorrect. The divisor is the number of groups and the quotient is the amount per group. You say 8 in divided by 2 that the 2 represents the number in the group. The 2 represents the groups.
