This feature has finally been ADDED - VHSMP Update 15 part two

For Vault Hunters update 15 part two, there was a long overdue feature added for the most Vault workstations.

I'd like to see a storage slot for emeralds in the vault enchanter

I have seen the inventory of Artisan Station impact server performance when players keep excessive materials in the station.
The capped amount of foci would help, but rolling some gear could take 1000+ bronze per roll.

A better solution might be to allow platinum and other coin denominations so the station can act similar to compacting drawer?
Alternatively you could let the station access block inventories that are adjacent to it. You can see such a system implemented in Core Keeper - where crafting stations can access chests that are touching.

not kidding my wife and i stopped playing shortly after we realized we couldn't move stuff with modular routers from our refined storage to the vault hunters stations, there was just so much prep every time we needed new gear

Technically you could already make modular routers put all the focuses in the table, but using a distributor module instead, I've been doing it for weeks, but it's nice that you can now do it in a much cleaner way (and also extract more easily). Neat!

Surely just using an external storage is easier, and you can store all your bronze there like an unlimited capacity drawer.

the thing i do for my bronze in artisan stations is set a non connected compacting drawer, with coins locked, with a pipez that drains the drawer into the station, then i just grab a stack of gold and slap it into that drawer which instantly converts it to bronze and drains into the station. A pipez upgrade is useful for speeding this up.

I have such big ideas now that this is implemented! I haven't played since v11 I think (I only barely got started) and this is making me want to come back to make a great vault room.

I built it in my delooter. So I have a puller module that takes everything out of my backpack and senders that send it to all my work stations and after everything it goes to my storage.

I have filters for stuff I keep in my pack filters for things I want to go to the defuser.

I still manually put gold and bronze and gems in stations but all and all its quick. I will do something like this to send inscriptions to the inscription table though.

you can use xnet to regulate how much bronze you put in the artisan station

For me it's not the biggest deal. I do my fourth playthrough now and was always fine with dumping all foci in there once in a while

You can use iron button and adjust the amount of speed upgrades to get the amount you need

that already works in u15.1 though, at least with routers
its what I do with a compacting drawer, so i just have to dump some gold into it.

Oh, you can already do this I have a modular rider, pulling from my drawers into the artisan station and you can do it for inscriptions and catalyst tables as well I found I couldn't do it at the Jewel cutting station I've been doing this for a while

This change I discovered the other day when I accidentally clicked my backpack onto the station and it worked and I freaked out. It is very welcome.

I can't wait for Update 15 Part 2 though. Can we just get the stuff that's already ready as Part 2 and then the rest as Part 3? I so want to play with the jewel pouches and the new omega gear and everything else.
