In this video I demonstrate how to shoot with manual exposure on the Nikon Z6ii. It also applies to Nikon Z6, Z7 and Z7ii. The three dimensions to control are aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Being a mirrorless camera, it gives you some new options for monitoring the exposure like a histogram updated live in the electronic viewfinder. and a "what you see is what you get" preview of the image. Towards the end of the video I show 4 metering modes the camera offers, and how to control how large steps the camera takes when you turn the dials to control aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Thanks for that. I tend to use manual mostly these days, and keep forgetting that the metering setting still makes a difference, even in manual.

Excellent presentation, very easy to follow. May I ask how long does the battery last on a full charge on average? It seems to me like this is a more hyped-up, less clunky D3. It's got roughly the same settings, with more "digital distractions" that would eat into the battery life... But i might stand corrected

When I set to Manual Mode with custom Shutter Speed, Aperture and Iso. Just After pressing Shutter Button, I notice the Shutter Speed suddenly changed. For example before was 1/50 after pressing shutter button it's change automatically to 1/60 or more. Is that normal in Nikon Z6II?

How do you turn "off" the self-timer symbol on the Nikon Z6ii, once used? The symbol keeps flashing inside the screen occasionally, but not always, it keeps triggering?
