First Varian got triggered with “I promise” and now Cassandra with “just wait”.

Rapunzel really knows how to trigger her friends lol and also this song is amazing especially Cassie’s part

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Cass was always listening.
R- "Cassandra listen, "
C- "I'm listening"
literally done twice, Raps was singing for peace, Cass talking to be heard.

She had been waiting this entire time for Rapunzel to return the favor. While Raps did say she wanted Cass to be more open with her feelings, their solutions to the issue will differ. What ever Raps would want to do, Cass likely wouldn't. That would drive the two farther apart because Raps would have the last say since she is a) a princess and b) Cass values their friendship. Cass has felt that she had to just bite her tongue and step aside for their friendship.

So I love this whole song, there's so much to take from it. From her literally breaking the bridge between her and Raps, she waited even a little longer for Raps, and the lyrics themselves, I just- adskljkl it's beautiful.

How does Cassandra’s voice actor sing those high notes? It’s always awesome.

For those who doesn't understand why Cassandra triggers with "wait", the last song from season 2 she sang (Waiting in the wings) was about waiting for a chance to shine and having glory, but never really getting the chance.
The whole character development for Cassandra that justifies her actions during the third season is about her giving up chances for Rapunzel's sake.

Cassandra has a point about Rupunzel being condescending. She keeps saying listen and Cass responses by I’m listening multiple times. Not only that she keeps this steady tone as if she’s talking to a child.

Raps: Cassandra, listen!
Cass: I'm listening!..

Rapunzel said her trigger word "wait"

Classic rule of three: Rapunzel says Cassandra's least favorite word - *'wait'* - three times in this song, and the last time marks the point where Cassandra officially cuts her loose.

I know it might be weird to say but I kinda wanna say I'm oddly proud of Cassandra, Twords the end of the song I've never seen her look so free. Shes taking charge of who she is and finding her own destiny instead of waiting for someone to give her the chance. Sometimes you cant wait around for others an you just have to as what rapunzel would say "set yourself free"
I know shes the villain and went about it the wrong way but I still give her a little credit.

I want Idina Menzel and Eden Espinoza to do a duet together. Both of them were Elphaba in Wicked, and they both have SUCH powerful and amazing voices. Idina has that fragility to her voice that made movie writers LITERALLY rewrite their entire movie script because of it (yes, I'm talking about Frozen, go roll your eyes somewhere else) and Tangled has used Eden's powerful, confident vocals SO WELL. I just think they'd be so great if the Tangled songwriters and the Frozen songwriters got together to make a song for these two.

Also, this song is the second best villain song in Disney history and I love it!

I actually really like the parallelism between Gothel leaving Cassandra and Cassandra leaving Rapunzel. They both left the thing they once loved and take a great power instead. They also both literally cut a bridge between them.
