It actually is possible to escape The Old Man's pocket dimension. Several anomalies have done it, just hasn't been proven that humans can. Yet.

There was an episode of Dr Who where he was being chased by death in a perpetual loop and he basically done exactly this.
He reached an impassable wall and punched it.... 100s of 1000s of times.
Each time the monster caught him, each time he died, each time the nightmare reset... But the damage didn't.

Love how this is basically the episode of dr who. The doctor was put in an eternal prison where he was chased by an entity that would kill him with a touch. Eventually he found a way out but it was blocked by amber. So he kept punching. But was killed everytime due to the entity finding him. He is revived everytime. Then punches the amber once and repeats the cycle. I think he stayed there for a couple million years

It’s basically just the episode of doctor who where he got trapped in his own testimony device and was haunted, murdered and resurrected almost infinitely until he either gave it what it wanted or he escaped which he did escape eventually.
