A High Ticket Closer is someone who is responsible for facilitating a purchasing decision for a higher priced item.

Now there is lots of debate around what classifies as High Ticket pricing, some say $1000, some say $3000, some say $5000.

Based on my 5 years of B2B sales experience,

remote closing is usually inbound sales where you are closing a prospect on buying a course, mentorship, or consulting program.

Usually you're making 10-15% commission and doing 4-6 calls per day. Income potential is 8-10K/month if you're average but I've had months where I've done $20K or more.

But there are 2 specific opportunities, where most of the jobs are coming from at this time.

Agencies and Coaches.

Well, there's been two very specific disruptions that have created major opportunities in our industry.
1. The way people are choosing to learn: EDUCATION
2. The way people are marketed to: DIGITAL

I care about money because money can set you free. I dont care about having a title in a corporation that controls the time and place i work and can lay me off at anytime.

Such a good point of view! I was an SDR for the last 2 years, couldn’t promote as an AE. And I thought transitioning to High-ticket closing was the solution for me. Got in touch with coaches and course sellers, but most of the offers felt scammy… After reflecting I agree that you don’t build actual skill set and you’re capped. We are just sold that it’s an easy way to make money (as usual lol). Now I’m glad that I found a position that combined both upsides, working as a full remote AE a tech company

You can work in tech sales remotely but you still have to work 40 hours a week for the company? I think the nice thing about high ticket closing is that you can work less hours and have more freedom. Does that make sense?

Why is there such a difference in career potential between being a high-ticket closer and working in an established business? Sales is sales. The skills transfer. So what if your underlying product will eventually be margin'd away by the market? You become better at sales. Genuinely looking for an explanation.

Problem is trent the money is good if you are in the states in techsales for a established as a citizen the high ticket sales 1099 and anyone can jump into it.The stability is not there at all and there is alot of bad fish its hard to find something you can stick in for long periods like years. I have been in the sales boat now for 1.5 years. Its been terrible but i am sticking with it. I have done everything by now even door to door i want have the stable job income but its been so tough

It is a good career if you are the one doing the coaching/consulting 😂 (but I agree with you from the salesperson's perspective)

Great video! High-ticket is pretty awesome in my experience. The only downfall is the lack of salary. I do agree with some of your points, but I do think it depends on the high-ticket org you're working for in terms of making money or a career out of it. Also, this is a great move for anyone who might have debt they need to pay off or they need to save money for a wedding or whatever it is, it could be a nice option. Not for everyone though. 😁

Hey Trent I was hoping you could let me know what you think of my situation. I found you about a year ago and you inspired me to get into the sales industry and become a business development representative. I bought and finished Course Careers so that I could get a job in tech sales just like you. I landed a role 2 months ago as a business development representative in the funeral industry, selling embalming fluids. Base is 50k and OTE is 80k. My first month selling this January I got 13 sales. Quote is 40. I think 40 is very possible if I work harder and continue learning. What do you think about it since it isn't in the tech industry? Next steps? Gain experience and leverage that to get into tech sales in the future as a bdr or account executive? How long should I stay there?
