Rede Tupi

First TV Air Date: September 18, 1950

Rede Tupi is a Brazilian Commercial Terrestrial Television Network, owned by Diários Associados S.A.

Rede Tupi's Former Main Studios are located at 52-Perdizes, Sumare, Sao Paulo (which will serve as MTV Brasil's headquarters in the later years, then Ideal TV, then currently Loading Network).

Rede Tupi's Former Network Flagship Stations are ZYB-855 Sao Paulo and ZYB-513 Rio de Janeiro.

Prior to Shutdown, Rede Tupi has 13 Owned and Operated Stations and 15 Affliated Stations throught Brazil.

Notes:
- The 1950 Network ID, is also a Monoscope Card for the opening of the Brazilian 30th Year TV special.
- The 1977 Network ID however, is actually a simulation or perhaps a Mock ID and it may look as the same as the Original ID. However, the Official Network ID is in the another video.

Shutdown:
- Rede Tupi ceased transmissions on July 16-18, 1980, after when the Network was ordered by the Federal Government of Brazil, and the Broadcast Concession License was not approved by the Department of National Telecommunications in Brazil.
- It's former Network Flagship Stations, ZYB-855 Sao Paulo is currently the Flagship Station of SBT Network, and ZYB-513 Rio de Janeiro is currently the Flagship Station of RedeTV! Network.
