A Russian opposition activist who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for treason said he thought he would die there.

Vladimir Kara-Murza, who is also a British citizen, has been vocal in his condemnation of Vladimir Putin and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

On Thursday, he was part of the biggest ever Russian-American prisoner exchange since the Cold War.

Kara-Murza was taken to Germany where he saw his family for the first time in two-and-a-half years.

As a Russian citizen who's in Russia and against the war, i really wish them all the best, especially, considering the fact that Kara-Murza was one of creator of Magnitskii list, which basically meant that he would be next Navalny, simply saying, never get out of the jail or be killed...

If you have followed how Putin treats his enemies, you will know that he is not out of the woods yet.

Why is BBC not posting any vids on UK riots? Thought this was a british news channel.

Mr Kara-Murza. Many in the west are very pleased to see you free and safe. You are exactly correct when you say we must think about saving human lives. We all very much would like to know and understand how you are going to help stop the unjustified invasion of Ukraine by Russia which has cost many thousands of innocent Ukrainian lives, and the displacement of many more. Are you going to help Ukraine

He was dumb to go back.
Could have ended up like Navalny.

1:40 This part is a bit weird, is there no toilet or something in the room? How does he eat? It's very weird if it's just a room with 4 walls and nothing.

It is a pity Kara-Murza has turned out to be such a dissapointment calling to lift sanctions from Russia. I now very much doubt his jugment may be taken seriously. He does not have a clue how to destroy Putin's regime.
