A slashing sound, a muffled scream, lack of blood, lack of wounds, and a questionable status of death. Wonder Woman did something than just plain kill Billy Batson. Ask yourself, Wonder Woman had so many ways to kill Billy, and they also had so many ways to make the killing less graphic, now why is that this supposed killing scene isn't well defined on how she killed him?

It's more probable that she only used a magic spell on him, basically sealing his ability to say "Shazam!".
