The onsen town is voted to be one of the best onsens in Japan! It’s famous for it’s fresh crab and seafood and also has a Michelin one-star rated panoramic view from the top of the ropeway.
But the best part of the town is of course the onsen! There are 7 tattoo-friendly public hot springs all within walking distance so you can enjoy a day of onsen hopping ! If you stay at one of the ryokans in town a lot of them offer free passes for you to try them all for free! (Check with your ryokan - if they do not offer it you can buy a day pass for a affordable price)
