In Battington's (Nonexistent Video) Spring Bonnie is called Bonnie Bun and I think Spring Bonnie is what the staff calls the suit because of the Springlock mechanism inside the suit and Bonnie Bun who resembles a Bonnie so Springlock + Bonnie = Spring Bonnie. And in Battington's newest video (The Horror Attraction) the narrator in the horror attraction ride calls Spring Bonnie Springtrap since there's a person trapped inside the suit and Bonnie Bun is the official name of the character that the guests call him.

And I know Battington's video are not canon to fnaf.

Tbh I always thought that back in the original days of fredbears he would just simply be bonnie, and after the first Freddy's location opening would be called spring bonnie to differentiate him from the newly rebranded blue/purple bonnie that we all know and love today.

We now know (since October 1st.) that his mascot name IS/WAS in fact Spring Bonnie, we can see this in the captions of a video posted by Universal (I think?) which is a movie clip of Afton getting springlocked. In the description, it says something along the lines of: "He was being trapped in the malfunctioning Spring Bonnie suit with the animatronics surrounding him." I do think that the characters could call him/he could call himself 'The Yellow Rabbit' to not use a name often associated with the jolly, happy character that is/was Spring Bonnie. I ALSO think that the company could have re-named Spring Bonnie to The Yellow Rabbit to not use the name associated with Fredbear, the one who caused the Bite of 83'. So, to avoid using the names associated with the bite and lose customers, (Fredbear and Spring Bonnie) they changed them to Golden Freddy and The Yellow Rabbit. Still having them around, yet re-named, would explain what phone guy (Ralph) meant, having said in one of his calls/messages in FNaF 2, someone used one of the spare suits they had in the back, a yellow one.

I think it was just Bonnie at fredbears until they made Freddy’s and changed his mascot name to spring Bonnie to differentiate him with the new blue bonnie
