A correction! The Indian North east region has not been included as a part of India on the world map. Please correct this if possible. The NE- Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim have and always been an integral part of India.

Nearly every country in the Quad, except India (and there are caveats even here), are already allies of the US and have mutual defense treaties. India, of course, isn't a formal ally, though the Indian Navy and US Navy do exercise together, and I think have become closer in the last decade than they ever were before. I don't see India ever wanting a formal military treaty with the US, but I'd say it's a good bet that informally there are already hooks in place to defend each other if attacked by, say, China, or at least offer assistance. As for China's assertions that the 5 I's have been stealing military and commercial technology from China well...the CCP really never seems to see the vast irony of some of their statements and often ascribes to others their own actions. :p

It will take decade for quad to become actual military alliance or at least after Taiwan invasion.

Speaking about my country India. We have lot of trade with China and it will take more 5-10years for our defence industry to become self reliant.
The war this big can't be fought on Imported stuff and we also share borders.

What happened to the north eastern states of india. The map omitted the whole region which borders 3 countries, China Myanmar and Bangladesh. Wth.
