Panelist: Chris Connaker, Computer Audiophile

We've come a long way from using Apple's iTunes as the high-end standard for computer based playback. This seminar will compare and contrast current music playback applications from JRiver Media Center and Roon Labs, and the ultra-high upsampling & filtering options available in HQPlayer. The seminar will also cover the use of new audio endpoints such as the Sonore microRendu, which can receive audio from the aforementioned applications, and inexpensive options such as using the NanoPi Neo as an endpoint.

Very interesting discussion. Something overlooked possibly is that for many of us, our audio systems are integrated into our TVs. Thus, when listening to music, I use the TV as the interface with audio output sent to my receiver. Nvidia Shield, used in conjunction with Plex, makes this possible but I am not sure about Roon or J. River. Any thoughts?

What happens with your Tidal music that you have imported or have made playlists of, if you unselect Tidal in Roon ?
