Having served with the Swedish Navy for a year, this is my points from this video:
1. Air defense was intended from the start but was cut due to costs.
2. The helicopter-deck with the helicopter on defeats the whole purpose of the ship, being stealth. Only when the chopper is gone and the transmitter is removed, the ship is stealth.
3. The stealth-capabilities are far from 100% altho much better then most conventional ships. More modern radar will have easier time picking up the signature.
4. Reloading the ship missiles requires the ship to enter a dock, and the process itself is very cumbersome as the missile launchers are integrated into the structure itself.
5. The cost for this type of ship is very high, one could debate whether or not it would be better to upgrade several of the existing older models instead of constructing new ones. For Sweden, i would argue quantity is more important.
6. 3:00 The bridge is truly amazing with a 360 degree angle of view, something which lacked on the older models (usually they had about 270 degree view angle)
7. 3:51 The CIC was highly classified while i was serving. It was strictly forbidden to take photos and visiting relatives were not allowed inside. And i served on a warship constructed in 1985 (HMS Stockholm). With that in mind i find it boggling that everyone on YouTube gets a first hand sightseeing of the technology used aboard the most modern ship in the Swedish Navy.
8. 5:50 The kitchen is the most important place on the whole ship.

Sweden is installing CAMM(Sea cepter) on the Visby, starting in 2025. 9 cells carrying 4 missiles each so 36 SAMs per ship, range is 25 km

Remember that this class is more than 20 years old. First ship was produced in year 2000. The new ships that are designed now will be named
"Luleå-class"

Many don't recognize Sweeden, Finland, Norway as military super powers, however they're not really about "show and tell", their anti submarine devices and other naval assets are insanely devastating. I'm glad they're in Nato I'll say that. Having been from a region war torn from the nazi invasion, and their major battlegrounds being the northern Atlantic, they were quick to see, experience and quickly adapt to a deadly up and coming weapon, the submarine. In any case, Russia stays clear because they have an idea that they're not fn around

Many superpowers but their faith in large frigates and cruisers and massive submarines and I understand it. They are meant for warfare in large oceans.
But scandinavia and Finland's coasts are riddled with small islands and relatively shallow waters. That makes use of such large vessels negligible. Whereas these kind of corvets can easily overwhelm them when closing in.
