A HUGE thank you to Chipstix for the new Steve model :)

This is Space Engineers survival in hard mode, using some custom mods made by me and a collection of others from the awesome SE community this scenario should push my engineering skills to the limit while also creating opportunities for some really unique design solutions.

I've published the scenario to the workshop for you to 'enjoy' - good luck!

The current version of the scenario has all the mods listed on the right.

I have two other channels that I post content to regularly

I love how the first asteroid base looks all abandoned back there. For some strange reason i love that kinda stuff, abandoned tech i mean, rust and stuff.

Why am I expecting a Capac decoy staring into the abyss with Steve just Steveing next to him in the future.

Congratulations on 100, 000 followers, only 1/10th the number of times Capac has been cloned.

"Ah... there you are... I'm up here now, in Space!"
"What? Why? But... I can see you sitting right over there!"

"But... *sigh* What are you doing up there then?"
"I was looking for Steve. He just hat a little.... what did he said? Ah yes, he wanted to release a stream of pebbles.... or something like that... and never returned. So I figured out THEY must have gotten him."

"Well, discuss it with me then. Oh... and I found the base of those evil dude who bombarded us all the time... I will engage now *sound of a rifle to get fully loaded*"
"Wait! That is Lawn Chair Base! It is where I got my resources from!"

I meant to put this one in last week for the LCD pack, but better late than never.

Carelessness causes clang, always check your rotor displacement!

Quickly, there's no time! Steve must have his own jetpack flying seat...

With your launching arm, you could use the same script that controls the toggling of the miner's arm.
So if you have over x amount of iron ingots -> start launch loop.
That way it doesn't waste resources when there's no iron, lowers maintenance and ensures you have iron ingots on hand

Need an audio cue on the pods as they launch

Sounds like the Lawn Chair platform needs a Zebra Munchies™ food cart.
When you get around to designing one.

I think it would be great, and probably advisable to have some kind of audible, and/or visual warning that the catapult is about to launch. Like a warning claxon, and maybe the flashing lights.

Nice, you did my "overland pipeline" challenge, but with the twist of it being on an asteroid. It really adds something to the base, and a few elbows could host turrets once you have ammo up there.

I find your catapult to be a joy to watch. You should be able to remote in and turn it off, yeah? As for the drone problem, deploy several Sandbags for perimeter defence of the landing zone.

Congratulations on hitting 100, 000 subs. It's been a long time coming. And it still feels like you started Survival...Maybe yesterday :)

I also can't wait to see what your gonna do with Steve in Light Echoes :)
And the new meshes are gonna be fantastic!

Hey Splitsie thank you so much for the years of entertainment and hard work. Congratulations on 100k subs! Cheers mate!

My thought for a poster was an insurance advertisement:

“Klang Safety Insurance! For only 500cr/month, *all* medical expenses are covered, *PLUS* one free clone every month!

And then at the bottom, in _very_ fine print: “Any clone after the first cost 100, 000cr per clone. Free clones do not roll over month-to-month.”

And use a picture of the 10, 000 Capac clones from the MedBay “malfunction”. Which then begs the question: how deep in debt is Capac?

Splitsie I recommend turning each subgrid of the pipeline into a station, that avoids any clang problems, though I don't see any attachment points to put a control panel on yours. It's quite safe when the whole thing is static, I have kilometers of such pipelines linking all of my lunar mines and bases together.

Also, a warning regarding using a sensor to control the release of the drop pod: IIRC, it doesn't update every game tick, so you would need to verify how consistent it would be. If it isn't good enough, I'd be happy to write a simple script to trigger a timer at a specific rotor angle.

Splitsie I really love this series, it keeps me motivated and engaged with Space Engineers, and it's a HUGE source of inspiration! Thank you very much and please keep it going :)

I'm so glad that this one time you've remembered my advice to leave that emergency box there, and even more, refill it right after! I barely recognise you. I was already imagining you're going to spend rest of the episode drilling spiral staircase.
Now that you are back on the planet, don't forget to spam those boxes around. Or put emergency supplies in lockers and seats. I think it may be wise to have little outpost close to your drop point, to store some bottles/food too, maybe seat and small battery too.

I was thinking about those broken pods. Maybe it would be good idea to try using some Gravity Alignment script to keep pod in right orientation and use some landing gear or wheels to absorb impact force.

I think that the same script you're using to prevent mining rig from overflow would work for your catapult drop pods. Just group all cargo containers/connectors/chutes and set the name to monitor that group and trigger when 99% full. This way you wont be launching half full pods, or even half made, and if you include parachutes in script (may need separate one for better reliability) it will not trigger launch until they're loaded too. It should work just well if you place PB on base grid, so no need to modify blueprint either (apart naming stuff).

What are you going to do with all those pods now? I think its time for some grinder pit too.

I just hope that this super stretched pipeline around asteroid won't affect your performance. Check you sim speed just in case.

And congratulations on you 100k milestone. Is there a shiny play-button for this one? I'm expecting some unboxing soon :)

I don't comment ever on YouTube... but I just wanted to say that I've been watching your Space Engineers series since before Survival Maybe. You have always been entertaining and presented the game so enthusiastically! Many times I fell out of love with the game and then fell back into it purely because of your approach and imagination towards it is commendable and second to none. You are an ambassador for this game and Keen are lucky to have YouTubers/Gamers/Ambassadors like you onside. If I was a richer man I would be a top tier patron of yours! Please never stop doing exactly what you do!

50:10 It look like the parachutes don't deploy. Did you run out of canvas? that may be the cause of loosing that much pods.
