I understand what happened during the light novel, but it mostly is the work of the guy who figured ayanokoji's phone number and called him, as he said to kiyotaka himself: " i let you remain because you aren't disrupting the peace of the school, but yagami was, so i had to get rid of him" if not for team effort and the work of multiple geniuses, most likely yagami wins or it's a stalemate
