I have been a Christian for many years but I am in a prolonged season of pain and barrenness of soul. I’ve known rejection throughout much of my life. And I have been inclined to project that rejection onto God in His disposition towards me. I’m playing this song over and over to remind me of the Father’s true heart. My little brother just passed away a couple of days ago. He struggled with schizophrenia and drug abuse. He continued to seek the Lord and go to church. He sent me this song and told me how beautiful and helpful it was to him to get through the day. This song is phenomenal. It calms my soul. Heard it on the radio station FM 96.7 in New York and have loved it ever since . Can't stop listening to it . Heard it at a time in my life when I broke up with someone who I loved and cared about, betrayed me. I was devastated. It shows that only God's love is infallible and when others fail us He will not. Today is the 2nd time am listening to this song, and after all the years i've been hearing of God's love for us, i now truly understand. All this time i looked at God's love measured to us through death and the cross. But i now truly understand that the cross was just the beginning of God's love extended towards us...hey, it continues everyday, even though we are not perfect (yet), he loves us just the way we are (with all the faults) Truly all this time i have been telling myself "I'm not holy enough yet". I've been back and forth when it comes to my relationship with God my entire life, I've battled with addictions, in and out of relationships, homeless, and separated from my family and always running. But today with God's grace I've been sober for 2 years and finally have my own place and a relationship with my mom and brother.
