This is a great refresher course for me as I've been out of school and the automotive field for over 10 years.

One question: is it normal for air to come out when you press the pedal?

I replaced the master cylinder than bleed it and than bleed the brakes, I installed new rotors and new brakes with the same old calipers and hoses. I see fluid when bleeding driver and passenger wheel, but when I drive I see smoke on the passenger side and the caliper is locked, I can hear the rubbing. What can be the problem and also what solution do you suggest? Thank you.

Does yours have advance trac, if the master cylinder goes bad is it necessary to change the whole system including booster, what if I don't have a person to assist me, is there a trick I can bleed it alone for air, Thanks

I have a 2002 f150 and i had the brakes and differential replaced and maybe a month afterwards when i would drive the truck for over an hour the truck would start putting bressure and breaking on its own and if i were to let off the gas doing 40mph it would instantly start slowing down. I noticed i had brake fluid leaking from outside on the rim. Would the master cylinder cause that?

Does the plug in the brake fluid tank control the front and rear brakes variable pressure??

ok for those like me who have a problem figuring out why after installing the mastercyl, you have ZERO brake... you inserted the mastercyl crooked inside the brake booster!!!! so the pin from your brake pedal goes all the way thru...no mastercyl🤦🤦
