This is video 1 in an introductory course on epistemology, the philosophy of knowledge. In this short video, we are introduced to the topic of epistemology and get a brief overview of what lies ahead of us in the course.

These videos will be made and posted from January 2024 until sometime in May 2024, at which point the series ought to be complete. I expect that there will be maybe around 40-50 videos? We'll see! I'll also put the videos I made/make about academic articles I read with my students in the playlist. (Many of those are already online, since I made them in spring 2023.)

Thank you for sharing your expertise professor! I am currently reading Menheim's "Ideology and Utopia" which is a seminal work on sociology of knowledge. Are you planning to include elements of this specific intelectual teadition in your current lectures? Congrats for your excellent material

My Phd research is about the so-called assurance views in the epistemology of testimony, and I wonder if you intend to cover the topic of testimonial knowledge and belief too.
