The Fenix icing effect comes into play when you fly in really cold/wintry areas doesn't matter how much anti-icing you apply, your plane just loses steam and cannot accelerate. I was so confused when this first happened to me!

Almost all of the tweaks we see on videos like this really don't make much difference because in most cases, the real limit to frame rate is CPU, not GPU. Here are the things that make a difference. Of the graphics settings that affect the GPU (not counting resolution, which if course is the most demanding), the volumetric clouds have by far and away the most impact (and of course only when they are present). While they are in the graphics settings, the LOD sliders really have more effect on the CPU than on the GPU, and these are the ones that most people will get the most benefit by. Just lowering these by 25% will make a big improvement for most people. Traffic is the next in line. The more traffic, the lower the FPS. Speed and aircraft (which are often closely related) can be very important too. Notice that except for clouds, the things that have the most effect are the things that require the CPU. As for aircraft, if you want to see how much they affect the CPU, turn all traffic off, and set all traffic sliders to ) and both LOD sliders to zero. Start the developer program and display the FPS counter. Load a Cessna 152 into LAX. when you do, the vast majority of people will see the real frame rate of the GPU because in this configuration, the processor is not working very hard, and if you look at the limit box near the top, it will say that the GPU is limiting your frame rate. For example, if I do this with an 13900 and 4080, I get a frame rate of about 120 fps or so. This is with the plane sitting still.. Note though, you may still see some interrupts (where the processor line spikes red) because for most people, your processor is doing other stuff besides playing the game. Next, load in a typical GA aircraft like the Bonanza, and the FPS will fall, but if f you look, what you will see is that the GPU utilization does not really go up, but instead the CPU utilization goes up. In most cases though, it is the CPU that limits the game. Flying a slow plane with low CPU load lets you have a smoother flight. The A310 has a huge static load (meaning just loading in the plane and have it just sitting on the runway, while the Cessna 152 has very little CPU load.

Bump your shadow maps up to 4090 in the .cfg file. They are much crisper with little to no FPS impact

Since two months I have not been able to simulate before November, I simulated and streamed in real time at 4K with the same components, my ryzen5900x processor and RTX3080 ftw3 ultra graphics card, the computer with Windows 11 and 10 is formatted about three times and I still cannot get the stability that I had before in terms of FP S. I see a lot of lags when before I used almost everything in Ultra, now with the setting at high and medium my frames fall below 30 FPs even more so with the A320 fenix. Therefore, at the moment I will have to settle for the xplane, my Simulator is obsolete.

Put everything ON and ULTRA or HIGH if ULTRA is not available - and that are the MSFS2024 graphics settings recomendations. Verry usefull video. 🤣😂🤣

I have my windows game mode and nvidia latency turned off and gained 10-15% more FPS!
