Wet Willie played my company picnic in Mandeville, Louisiana back in 92` I met the singer Jimmy Hall then and then again five years later, backstage at Tipitina`s in New Orleans.

Great band! Saw them with the Allman Brothers and the Marshall Tucker Band in New Orleans in the late 70’s. They stole the show. Try another of their tunes … Everything That ‘Cha Do is my personal favorite

Charlie Daniels said, Jimmy Hall has more Soul in his little pinky, than most people have in their whole body.

Saw these guys open for Grand Funk. Jimmy Hall is one of the most underrated vocalists of the era. When they played this song Live, it was magic.

I got spoiled with this song. Jimmy Hall lives in my area and use to play at the Bluebird Cafe regularly. Any time I learned Jimmy was going to be at Bluebird, I went. Of course, he always ended with this song, because by the time it was over we were all standing on our chairs (some on the tables) singing with him. It was always a party. Great memories. Don't know if he still plays Bluebird, because I am just too darn old to get over there!

Underrated Southern Band, glad you enjoyed them. Later in t he 70s they had 2 hits you might wanna give a listen to:'Street Corner Serenade' and 'Weekend' both are upbeat and you will enjoy them.

Wet Willie sometimes opened for the Allman Bros Band. Duane Allman says, on one concert cd, "Wet Willie spit some chewing gum.." on the stage. Great tune. Get ready for that chorus. Yes indeed. Harmonica. Go! Well! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.

That song just never gets old, so good. And the vocals from Jimmy Hall. Another great southern rock band from the 70's. Great song.

Love this song! Haven’t heard for decades!! I remember loving this tune when it came out during my high school years in mid 70’s 😁😉👍

Wet Willie's "Keep On Smilin" peaked @ #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. It was their 1st charted Hot 100 single (8 total between1974 - 1979) and their biggest hit.

Another great band from Alabama that was a staple in the 70’s! We were so fortunate to grow up when we did and being from Alabama I can appreciate all the great music musicians from my state put out there and continues to put out….love y’all and “keep on smiling” 😉❤

Jimmy Hall, the lead singer here, sang on Blackberry Smoke's cover of this. It's well worth checking out.

Wet Willy toured with Grand Funk in the mid 70s and even performed with them on the song 'The Locomotion. 'The female singers were known as the 'Willettes.'
