I bought this same Wildroad cargo rack and I have a question. Do I have to use the "Spindle" if I don't plan on raising the basket? I would like to use the "Pole" that attaches to the bottom of the basket to put directly into the trailer receptacle. As it is, the neck that hooks up to the basket extends 3' behind my trailer. It fits without having to use the Spindle and I wanted to know if the basket will work without it. I am carrying 150 lbs. So far without actually having used it yet, it looks well made and strong. I had no problem putting this together.

These instructions are egregiously bad. For one, he is only hand tightening everything. Show me how you are actually building this rattle cage. It doesn’t come with the hardware to actually attach to the hitch on the car, let alone that lock thing shown in the video. To top it off, the “music”
Is awful.
