The delivery of "She's a virgin, who GIVES BIRTH" is literally perfect

She was giving me that awful LA vibe. ‘Let me tell you about myself.’

Gosh. This role isn’t “over-the-top” like the academy usually goes for, but honestly the entire film Laura Dern effortlessly DOMINATED every scene she was in.

The gravitas, confidence, physical acting - she won the golden globe tonight.

She’s going to win her first academy award next month.

As someone who was rooting for Adam Driver’s character, I felt so helpless every time she was on screen. Amazing performance

I love how she’s charming and sweet but all she has to do is flip the switch and suddenly she’s a total beast, loved that about her character!

This character and the one she played in Big Little Lies are kinda the same: Likeably unlikeable

She was fantastic in this film, every word she said was dripping with confidence and a hint of intimidation. The best moment is when Ray Liotta says "You can't just pretend that the theatre was small and insignificant when you want to move the kid to LA and then pretend it was a massive money-maker when you want to take its money" and she just quickly replies:

"Yeah, why not?" with an evil smile and no fucks given. It's amazing!

She is aging like wine... She still looks like she did in Jurassic Park.

The brilliance of this character is that it explains how divorces get completely out of hand and escalate once you start involving lawyers. Her true intentions are disguised behind fake smiles and $5.99 tea bags with custom branding. Her sharp instinct sees a woman that can be riled up and make this a prolonged (and profitable) custody battle. Scarlett's character never wanted any of the damage that ensues. Her real colors are only revealed in the 45/55 comment. It's just brilliant.

Is it wrong to say I hope she beats Jennifer Lopez at the Oscars? Laura deserves to be an Oscar winner. And she's also incredible in "Little Women" this year. She brings such gravitas to that role too.

She was phenomenal in ‘Marriage story’

I feel like Nora and Berry were like the parents that Nicole and Charlie wanted but never got. Nicole wants a mother who listens to her and empowers her like Nora does and Charlie wants a father who is calm and logical like Berry is

Man Noah must REALLY have hated Jennifer Jason Leigh's attorney to have created this character.
