2008 Odyssey, 155k, no issues with the transmission, or engine.
Parents Sienna timing snapped mid trip.
Odyssey is by far the best minivan. I believe the 2008 and newer Odysseys solved the problem with transmissions. We have three Odysseys in the extended family.

We have had two Odysseys in our family, both great cars. Our first was a Silver 2003 Honda Odyssey EXL that lasted us 183, 700 miles until we traded it in. The second Odyssey is the one we currently have, a black 2010 Odyssey Touring. This one currently has around 129, 750 miles on it. Still running strong!

I bought a 2009 Honda Odyssey brand new, 120, 000 plus miles and I had zero problems, except the driver side air blender going bad. I just changed timing belt, changed transmission fluid, so far extremely happy with it.

I've had 2 2005 Odysseys and they've both gone over 300, 000 and not one problem with the transmission. They have an 11% failure rate (which is still high) but I'm sure Dodge would kill for numbers like that lol.

I never have an engine or transmission problem with my 2003 Odyssey. We now have close to 300, 000 miles on it and still going strong.

2008 Honda odyssey with 176k miles. 0 issues... engine and transmission works just fine. Sienna expensive, low profile and tight inside. Odyssey fancier. .. I live in Houston Texas.

Way back in 2004 I was looking for a the Honda Odyssey had a 6 month waiting period from the dealer. Used ones were impossible to find. Looking for the Toyota Sienna, they were EVERYWHERE! I picked up a 1998 and it has 300, 000 miles on it today. My 3 kids destroyed the inside and have taken it 4 wheelin' later in life when teenagers. Still purrs like a kitten!

Scotty sounds like a Toyota fan boy! I've read alot of comments on this channel regarding the Odyssey and Ridgeline.
all positive. Scotty needs to keep it real.

I see more older odyssey’s driving around than seinnas, and I think that says something

What? Honda Odyssey is a reliable vehicle!

The problem with Scotty’s framing is that Honda Odysseys are unreliable as if they’re always broken, but in reality when they are broken, it’s those nearing 300k or already above 300k. Odysseys are actually pretty reliable cars but Scotty’s standards seem extremely high as if a car shouldn’t be broken.

i gotta disagree with this one, i see so many honda odyssey's on the roads, mainly 05+ year models, we have 2 in our delivery fleet, both pushing 350, 000 miles

I bought a 2007 Odyssey EX. I let a bunch of friends and family drive it. The result is that there are about a dozen Odyssey owners in my friends and family circle, some from back then, some recent (young folk having kids), some with quite high mileage. So far, so good, no reliability issues. Excellent reliability, pleasure to drive and travel in, etc. My 2007 has its first issue, a TPMS light that comes on and off with no apparent reason.

I think the 2012 and newer Odyssey is better. I have been working on my aunt's 2012 for years. Still running strong at 130, 000. However I maintain it religiously

2001 Odyssey had transmission problem but then again it worked harder than my pick up truck, I did construction work off my Odyssey so, yea I now have a 2011 Odyssey and my family Love it. Thanks Honda! Very grateful.
