We continue our (long) series of reviews of the SRAM Red eTap AXS groupset launched early in 2019. This time, Rob Arnold tries out the app (at last) and gets a few angles of the sequential shifting in action.
There's always more to say, but a lot has already been said about this exciting new wireless shifting system...

Any questions?

What a great video - made in 2019. No-one else in 42 months has been able to explain these features better, least of all film them in action quite so well. Kudos.

Main issue I have is that on the sequential upshift it doesn't switch the front derailleur until your in gear 2 on the rear, it means the chain is often under unnecessary tension and when heading into a climb means the you're only shifting out of the big ring when reaching steep sections, it's INFURIATING!

Hello,
First of all, thank you for the informative video,
My question is, the APP update has arrived and I cannot find this function.
I would appreciate it if you could make an updated video or information on this subject.

I hope that sram come up with new fordable etab (force/trival?) that you only buy new sifters, deraulars, casette, chain and chainring. That you can use old cranks and wheels/hubs.

Shimano has had sycro-shift for years, and Sram spent years trying to circumvent Shimano's patents. Yet after so many years they still couldn't figure out how to make hydraulic shifters that look better than the new 105 shifters.

What's the point of buying eTap if it's heavier than Dura-ace?! For that one extra 10t cog? For that built-in throwaway power meter? No thanks, I'll wait for 12 speed Di-2.

Stick with mechanical. No need for this rubbish. Looks like a gravel bike. Disc brakes are awfull on road bikes
Sorry just saying
