I've been waiting for this groupset to drop to buy my dream build all-road bike and it appears worth the wait. I own bikes with both the 1st and 2nd generation Red Axs and personally never felt the front end shifting was a problem, but the levers do appear to be a nice improvement and I like that they defaulted to what was a harder to find medium cage in the back.

SRAM is really cranking out beautiful stuff these days. Have ridden with a force etap once it was set up the shifting was amazing can't wait to run the new red.

After Checking the price of new Karoo, I am happy with my 40% discounted Karoo 2 I got few months ago.

Interesting choice of pedal system and the reason I noticed that is because truthfully, Im a pleb and cant afford the groupset BUT that doesnt take away from the fact that my 105 Di2 is a peach of a groupset.🥳

Levers feel better in the hand for sure.

Still running 2008 sram red here. Still the lighest groupset ever.

9:04 As a matter of fact, this data is available to anyone with a Shimano Di2 groupset which is synced to your bike compute! I have Ultegra Di2 from 2019 with a wireless unit synced to my Garmin Edge and I can view the same shifting telemetry

Not only is the new Sram Red set great, Simon is also perfect as always and looks smart.

The levers are also more aero not protruding up so much. Yes it does make a difference. That’s how I run my levers.

Yes the backwardcompatibility is absolutely stunning. I would not make any changes because of weight but I could later upgrade the grips because of the ergonomics the fact that my new bike has old sram red but first I go to the bikefitter to make him do final adjustments and then I will during the summer find out what I want. I also have the new dura ace and these grips are awesome and fast and effortsless to use which is nice on long descends on gran canaria but here in Denmark the slower old Redbrakes are doing absolutely fine.

The cracking on the chain plate @ 11:27 is just hilarious 🫣

My 9-year-old rim brake Etap groupset is still 500g lighter, so referring to weight savings as a selling point is useless. Where I think Sram is winning is that the groupsets are backward compatible. I can upgrade to Disc, and all I need to buy is the new shifters/callipers, which will still work with my existing 11-speed setup. Having said that, the cost of Levers, callipers and rotors is more than what I paid for the etap upgrade kit which included levers and both derailleurs.

Great update to the top groupset! Impressive weight gains (especially for pro riders)

Nice to see they kept the price sky high.
