That cartridge makes for an incredible challenge at a 1000 yard, static ten inch circular target. The best shooters in the world still miss that shot with rests and bags. The maximum effective range of that cartridge and rifle is really less than 1200 yards, but the maximum practical range is less than a 1000. The projectile is reaching 1200 yards by literally falling almost vertically, almost 60 degrees. This is a cold bore shot with a barrel length of well less than 30 inches at a target less than six inches wide and moving in excess of 200mph. Improbable isn't the right word! The lead on the shot as well as the vertical and horizontal reference would be total guesswork. It's also highly possible that the glass would deflect the bullet since it is traveling below the speed sound at that point.

OK looking in the comments, you guys do realize this is a film right and a total work of fiction. Yes this is total horse shit and couldn't be done but that's the point of the character, he's supposed to be able to accomplish the impossible
