Thomas Hoyt Bryant was born on December 7, 1908, in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was a country music singer-songwriter, guitarist, and radio personality.

He was the last surviving musician to have recorded with the legendary country singer Jimmie Rodgers, who died in 1933.

In 1932, Rodgers was in a recording studio and picked Bryant's song "Mother, the Queen of My Heart" for a performance. Bryant accompanies on guitar.

Slim Bryant lived to age 101. He died on May 28, 2010.
